I've not been up to speed on this diary - mind too busy elsewhere!
Have spent time recently in the woods around Bewcastle with my trusty Woodmiser sawmill - having been offered some oak, beech and sycamore. Freshly felled, and now planked up - to be airdried over the next few years, and then it will be ready to turn into some lovely furniture. Leftover bits of logs will keep me warm over the next winter!
Spring Fling is rapidly approaching - as is a new (to me) event at Leith Docks in early May. So I'm now working on new designs to be made in time for these events.
Any spare time is being spent at the cottage and store by the side of the River Esk in Langholm. Vast amounts of renovation work is being done to make them both safe and habitable. Long time into the future I hope to have my showroom there too - but first it has to be made watertight, and to stop it from falling down.

My furniture is full of curves and lines that make it feel like a sculpture. I try to tread lightly and leave the planet in a better place than I found it. Most of my timber is local, mainly from windblown trees that I mill and dry myself.
