A bad consequence of keeping the Facebook page updated with information and images - tends to mean that I forget to update news here, too. Hence since the last entry just before the CLA Game Fair at Blenheim, there have been other events and exhibitions. These include an open workshop weekend for Langholm and Eskdale studios - a new and exciting local venture. The annual exhibition of Scottish Furniture Makers has also taken place - ending just this last weekend. This year held at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh, it featured just one extraordinary piece from each maker. I was delighted that Stuart Kane of Woodland Energy permitted me to show his specially commissioned desk for this event. My furniture is full of curves and lines that make it feel like a sculpture. I try to tread lightly and leave the planet in a better place than I found it. Most of my timber is local, mainly from windblown trees that I mill and dry myself.
