A brand new website called "Makers' Eye" should be going live this week. It includes a few selected furniture makers, regarded as being as the best in Britain (and some in the world)- and yes, I'm privileged to be amongst them. Two of my teachers from Parnham College are on the site - John Makepeace and Robert Ingham (principal). I owe a huge debt of gratitude to these two, amongst others, and I'm proud to have my work standing alongside theirs.
Events with the Scottish Furniture Makers Association went well - at the beginning of October at Dovecot Studios in Edinburgh, and at the end of the month at the SECC in Glasgow. It worked really well having a group of talented makers, all with differing styles of furniture, on the same stand. And December will now be very busy!
I'm not used to changing things on the website - and it has been forgotten in all that has been going on.
So belatedly and very briefly - and I'll put this in Events too - I've been invited to exhibit with the Scottish Furniture Makers Association - at their 10th anniversary event (1st - 16th October in Edinburgh) and also on their stand at the SECC Homes and Interiors Event at the end of October. I'm hoping to take at least one of my award winning (Guild Mark) pieces to the events.
See the Events section for time and venue details.
